![]() ![]() And I always get my guitars set up when I get them.įolks, these are incredible metal presets. I have a couple Schecters and an old ESP LTD which is the first guitar I bought with my own cash when I was a kid. Honestly, any guitar with humbuckers that is set up properly in the tuning of choice should work fine. The more tracks though the tighter you have to play otherwise you get some odd effects. Double tracking works as well but quad tracking really thickens things up when you blend a 2 different sounds together panned wide. Yea, quad tracking is four separate takes. I usually don't use the coil split feature on my guitars that have it either. All my guitars are humbuckers so that is what I build around. Thanks againI used a Schecter Tempest Hellraiser for this and the tracks were recorded using the EMG 81 pick up. The other questions I have are: what guitar do you use with the presets? And what guitar(s) would you recommend for getting this modern, detuned metal sound!? When you talk of quad tracks, do you mean recording 4 guitar tracks, like an extension of doubletracking? Thanks for taking the time to share these! My Amplitube 5 High Gain Presets Download Link I have another one with my Superior Drummer 3 SDX Death and Darkness preset which I gave away as well and purposefully mixed everything with SD3 which turned out pretty good.Įither way, I hope somebody can enjoy these presets as I've put some time into them and they should peak around -3 db or so for reference although you may not play as aggressive as me with my meaty claws. I've included the download directly so that it doesn't seem like I'm trying to promote my small YouTube channel but if you do like it you can check out some of my other stuff as I've done other preset stuff. I found what I consider to be working dual mic pairs (some are the same mic in different positions). Plus you can do some decent routing within it which I can't say for Neural DSP amp sims as you are locked into what they give you. I went through and revisited Amplitube after going from Amplitube back to Neural DSP amp sims but have found Amplitube to be pretty versatile. I've included the link to the download of the zip file as well as a YouTube video of the different presets. I'd recommend this for metal and modern hard rock tones. I have Max so not everything may be available to use but I believe you can see what I was using and replace it. I have done the same thing here but have used some different microphone configurations. When Amplitube 5 was released I made some presets to share for high gain recordings. They can be used alongside any gear models you own to build custom signal chains and save as presets for easy recall.I realize I'm posting this at "Gear Space" so I will start by saying feel free to bash me and my material as I love a good ol' bashing.
